In literally no time at all, you have perfectly crushed spices that can also be conveniently stored in the mortar itself.

Cleaning the mortar - Because it is made of cast iron , it is extremely robust and durable. However, cast iron doesn't like moisture and salt. Therefore, be careful not to bring the mortar into contact with water and/or salt. If you do need to clean the mortar, just use hot water and a brush (NO DETERGENT). After cleaning, dry the mortar quickly and thoroughly to prevent corrosion.
The Swing Mortar is not dishwasher safe, please never put it in the dishwasher!

The Swedish company Skeppshult uses only the best materials for the mortar. Only untreated iron that meets high quality standards is used. The lid is also made of fine walnut wood.
